Set up a Bill of Quantities Manually

All BOQ elements in Trimble Quest can be defined and managed by the user via the BOQ scene. Defining a BOQ manually is quite a laborious process, but it can be useful for small projects or for amending an imported Bill of Quantities. Importing a BOQ from a spreadsheet or previously created project is supported. In this section, a BOQ is set up manually, but the techniques used apply to the editing and management of imported BOQs as well. When a new project is created in Trimble Quest, a Bill of Quantities is automatically generated for it. The BOQ is empty, except for a single bill section, which is by default named “Bill Of Quantities”. This bill section is referred to as the root section of a project. See Figure: Bill of Quantities.
