Work with a Bill of Quantities
When developing an estimate for a project, it is common to break down the project into the individual items that need to be built/manufactured. After pricing these items individually, a total estimated cost for the project can be calculated. The items that comprise a project are listed and quantified, together with a method/unit of measurement, in the project’s Bill of Quantities, or BOQ for short. A fully priced BOQ is at the core of a tender application and forms the foundation of any serious estimate.
