Actions

Each Trimble Quest scene has its own set of relevant actions and these are made available in the form of vertically oriented tabs in the Action Bar. By clicking on a specific action tab, a panel with information and further action buttons slides out.

Take as an example the Resource scene shown in Figure: Active Scene. Four action tabs are present, namely Filter, R Attributes, Columns, and Reports. Clicking on the Filter tab will slide open a panel that contains several options for filtering the data set in the Resource table.

Similarly, the other action tabs will open up panels that support the execution of the action. For example, Columns will display several additional columns that can be switched on or off in the resource table. These panels can be closed up by clicking on the action tab again or on the >> slider button. A useful analogy is to think of the action tabs as drawers in a workbench, which can be pulled open to access tools and closed when done. Actions form an integral part of the workflow of Trimble Quest and need to be accessed frequently.
