Unit
The Unit property of a worksheet indicates the unit in which the allowable of the associated bill item will be compiled. It usually mimics the unit of measure of the bill item, but this is not compulsory and no restrictions are placed on the unit of a worksheet. The unit is important since the calculation of the net rate is per this unit and the contributions of all the resource components are converted to this unit. Unit transformations form an integral part of the compilation of a worksheet and the pricing of bill items. The transformations are user-managed and care must be taken to assign sensible and consistent units to worksheets. Unit transformations are discussed in more detail below. To update the unit of a worksheet, open the Info action tab of the "BOQ Item Editor" and edit the appropriate text field, as shown in Figure: Changing Worksheet Details.
