Apply Markup

Once you have priced your BOQ the next thing you will want to do is to apply markup in order to get a selling rate. There are a number of ways in which you can do this in Trimble Quest, with the first being manually.

If you want to have a specific selling rate for a specific line item you can simply switch on table edit at the bottom right corner of the screen when you are in the BOQ module and then type in a selling rate for the relevant line items.

Alternatively, if you want to apply a markup percentage to a specific line item use the kebab menu for that line item (or multiple if you select their check boxes) and select Apply Markup.

Trimble Quest can of course also calculate selling rates for you and this is done using the Markup Tab which you can find in the Action Tab in the BOQ module. You will see that there are a number of ways in which you can apply markup here, namely a global markup, profit spread, by resource attribute, or by bill attribute:

You also have the option to fix your selling rates or to round them after having applied markup.
