Breakdown Columns
Breakdown columns give you the ability to break measurement columns on resources and resource attributes down into their bill attribute components and measurement columns on bill items and bill attributes down into their resource attribute components.
So, if we stay with the report I created in the previous example, if we have a bill attribute that groups our BOQ line items into trades, and we want to see how much of labor is allocated to Earthworks, we can use a breakdown column to see that:
In order to do this, select the measurement quantity you want to use in the breakdown, which in this case is still the Progressive Actual measurement quantity, and then select which bill attribute class you want to use as well as the bill attribute itself, in this case, Earthworks.
Now we can see that given the amount of work that has been done, according to the progress measurement quantity, only $3403.85 should’ve been spent on labor on earthworks in this project.
