Pricing Sheets
Pricing Sheets are the third and final level of your pricing library, in the sense that they are built up out of component clusters and/or resources. Again, a pricing sheet can contain a cluster or a resource, but neither a resource nor a cluster can contain a pricing sheet.
The logic of a pricing sheet works in exactly the same way as that of a cluster, the only difference is that the job of a pricing sheet is to calculate the budgeted cost per unit of measure of a bid line item.
Let's take the following highlighted bid line item (Plaster Interior Walls 1in) as an example:
We can see on the example that the net rate per square foot (SF) of plastering is $36.02.
That $36.02 is a calculated rate which is made up of component parts (resources and clusters) contained in the pricing sheet for that line item. However, these component parts do not necessarily have a square foot as their unit of measure.
So, in exactly the same way as was done with the clusters, the budget rates need to be transformed into a budget rate per square foot for each component.
