Step 3 - Add Component Resources and Clusters to the Pricing Sheet

We can add resources and clusters to the pricing sheet by going to Insert in the right-hand side Action Tab whilst we are in the pricing sheet Editor. This allows us to search for the appropriate resources and insert them into the pricing sheet by either double-clicking on them or using the blue Insert Selected button.

Again, If you find that you don’t have a resource in your resource list that you need for your pricing sheet you can create a new resource on the fly within the cluster by using the blue Create & Insert Resource button at the bottom of the Insert box. You are also able to insert a cluster into a pricing sheet, by selecting the Insert Clusters option at the bottom of the Insert box.

You can also edit that cluster inside of the pricing sheet by selecting the cluster in the Bid Item Explorer on the left-hand side of the Bid Item Editor.

For our Plaster Interior Wall example, you will need to insert a General Labour resource, Plasterer resource, and the Mortar cluster that we created in the previous unit.

When deciding what resources and clusters are needed in a pricing sheet it is important to remember that the pricing sheet functions on the level of a Bid line item, so it should contain everything that has cost that is needed to complete one unit of the applicable line item.
